Career

Chawla began her movie career in the Telugu film industry, starting with the movie Yuvakudu (2000) alongside actor Sumanth. Her big breakthrough came with the film “Kushi” starring opposite Pawan Kalyan, which was a huge hit. Her role in Kushi (2001) won her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu. Following this success, she starred in more Telugu movies like Okkadu (2003) with Mahesh Babu and Simhadri (2003) with Jr. NTR, both becoming major hits that year.
