Bumrah was born on 6 December 1993 in Delhi to a Sikh Punjabi family. Now he is 29 years old.
Family
Bumrah was born into a Sikh Punjabi family that had settled in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Along with his given name, he is also affectionately known by nicknames such as Jassi, Boom, and JB. Tragically, Bumrah’s father, Jasbir Singh, passed away when he was just 5 years old. However, he was raised by his dedicated mother, Daljit Bumrah, who worked as a teacher in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Bumrah’s elder sister, Juhika, currently resides in Ahmedabad, India.
Education
He did schooling at Ahmedabad’s Nirman High School where his mother was a principal. His study is middle.
Wife
On 15 March 2021, he married model and presenter Sanjana Ganesan in Goa. Ganesan, a resident of Pune, Maharashtra, formerly competed in Miss India and participated in MTV’s Splitsvilla in 2014.

Bumrah’s remarkable journey in cricket began with a standout performance in his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut against Royal Challengers Bangalore, where he secured figures of 3/32 at the young age of 19. He quickly made a name for himself by showcasing his unique style and breaking records along the way. Notably, he surpassed Dirk Nannes’ record for the most wickets in a calendar year of Twenty20 International games during the series against the West Indies in August 2016. Bumrah made his debut for the Indian cricket team in a T20I match against Australia on 27 January 2016. He continued to make an impact in the limited-overs format, becoming the highest wicket-taker among fast bowlers in a bilateral ODI series of five or fewer games during Sri Lanka’s visit in 2017.
