Bumrah’s remarkable journey in cricket began with a standout performance in his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut against Royal Challengers Bangalore, where he secured figures of 3/32 at the young age of 19. He quickly made a name for himself by showcasing his unique style and breaking records along the way. Notably, he surpassed Dirk Nannes’ record for the most wickets in a calendar year of Twenty20 International games during the series against the West Indies in August 2016. Bumrah made his debut for the Indian cricket team in a T20I match against Australia on 27 January 2016.
