After finishing his schooling at Don Bosco High School in Matunga, Mahesh Bhatt wasted no time in embarking on his journey toward financial independence. Even during his school days, he took on summer jobs to earn money while simultaneously exploring his creative flair by venturing into the world of product advertising.
Mahesh Bhatt’s family background is a blend of cultures and traditions. His father belonged to the Gujarati Hindu Nagar Brahmin community, while his mother came from a Gujarati Muslim background. This unique mix of religious and cultural influences shaped his upbringing and perspective on life.

In 1970, he tied the knot with Kiran Bhatt, also known as Lorraine Bright. However, they eventually went their separate ways. Together, they have two children: Rahul Bhatt, a fitness trainer, and actor, and Pooja Bhatt, an actress and filmmaker.
