Radhabai is Mallikarjun Kharge’s wife. They were married on May 13, 1968. Kharge is the proud father of three children: two daughters and one son. Kharge practices Buddhism. As the chairman and founder of the Siddharth Vihar Trust, he erected the Buddha Vihar in Gulbarga. Mallikarjun Kharge is supported by the Congress leadership. Ashok Gehlot supports Kharge, who is a front-runner for the presidential race. Rumors have it that Kharge has been friendly with the Gandhis.

It began his political career in student union leadership while he was at the College. He was elected the General Secretary for the College Student Body. In 1969, he was appointed legal advisor to MSK Mills Employees Union. Kharge was also a prominent labor union leader in Samyukta Majdoor Sangha and led many agitations for labor rights.
