Mother Teresa Father (Nikollë Bojaxhiu)
Family
Mother Teresa’s father, Nikollë Bojaxhiu, was an enterprising individual who engaged in construction contracting and traded in medicines and various other commodities. Her mother, Dranafile Bojaxhiu (née Bernai), played a significant role in the family as well. Mother Teresa was the youngest among her siblings, with brothers named Aga Bojaxhiu and Lazar Bojaxhiu.

Career
Mother Teresa was originally named Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu (Anjezë being a cognate of Agnes), with “Gonxhe” meaning “rosebud” or “little flower” in Albanian. Her Society of Missionaries extended its reach worldwide, including into regions of the former Soviet Union and Eastern European countries. In 1948, she commenced her missionary work among the impoverished, exchanging her traditional Loreto habit for a simple white cotton sari with a blue border. The Missionaries of Charity, present globally, received support from Co-Workers who formally established an International Association on March 29, 1969. Upon her arrival in India, Mother Teresa initially pursued a teaching career. .” Mother Teresa firmly believed that serving others was a fundamental tenet of Jesus Christ’s teachings.
