He was part of New Zealand’s squads for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In June 2018, he signed a contract with Wellington for the 2018–19 season and made his List A debut for New Zealand A on 21 October 2018 against Pakistan A. In the next year, he also made his T20s debut on 27 January 2019 in the match of Wellington vs. Otago at Dunedin. He made his first-class debut for New Zealand A, also against Pakistan A, on 30 October 2018 After the completion of the 2018 under-19 World Cup the International Cricket Council (ICC) named Ravindra as the rising star of the squad. For the 2020–21 domestic cricket season, Wellington offered him a contract in June 2020.
