Rajinikanth was born into a Kshatriya Maratha family, but his roots also tied back to Tamil ancestry. His mother managed the home, while his father, Ramoji Rao Gaekwad, served as a police constable. He was quite mischievous during his early years and is the youngest among his two elder brothers, Satyanarayana Rao and Nageswara Rao, and his sister, Aswath Balubhai.

Affair, Wife

The spark of love struck when Rajini was interviewed by a group of girls, leading him to propose to Latha Parthasarathy on the same day. They tied the knot on February 26, 1981, in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Unfortunately, he lost his mother when he was just nine years old. His marriage to Latha blessed them with two daughters, Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Soundarya Rajinikanth.

Interestingly, it was a stage play performance that caught Latha’s attention, prompting her to encourage Rajinikanth to pursue acting by secretly applying on his behalf to the Adyar Film Institute. Despite following through with the acting career, Rajinikanth lost touch with her later on. Before his relationship with Latha, he was involved with the actress Silk Smitha. Additionally, his spiritual guide was Swami Satchidananda, the founder of Integral Yoga.
