In the year 2016, Rishabh Pant joined the Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In domestic cricket, he represents Delhi and serves as the captain of the Delhi Capitals in the IPL. His Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for India took place in January 2017, followed by his Test debut in August 2018. Notably, in 2022, he was honored with the Test Batting Award at the ESPNcricinfo Awards for his pivotal role in helping Team India break Australia’s long-standing unbeaten record at the Gabba.
