Boys Senior Secondary School in Madras and later attended Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Delhi. Siddharth’s introduction to the media world began when he provided voiceovers for the Banish mosquito repellent advertisement in eight different languages in 1988. This opportunity came through the suggestion of his father’s close friend, the ad director and film director, Jayendra Panchapakesan.
He pursued an MBA in Mumbai, a choice influenced by his father for added security, though he knew from an early age that his true calling was in the film industry. His passion lay in writing and directing, and business school served as a backup plan as advised by his father. Siddharth also actively engaged in live performances with a theatre group called ‘The Players’ and was involved in amateur theatre activities in Delhi.
