Continuing her impressive performances, she played a crucial role in the 2016 Women’s Challenger Trophy, where she scored three half-centuries for India Red and contributed significantly to her team’s victory in the final against India Blue with an unbeaten 62 off 82 balls.

Her One-day International (ODI) debut took place on April 10, 2013, against Bangladesh Women in Ahmedabad. However, in January 2017, she suffered an unfortunate knee injury while fielding after bowling the final ball of her over. Smriti Mandhana also made her T20 international debut against Bangladesh Women on April 5, 2013, in England.
