Career
Virat Kohli marked his List A cricket debut on February 18, 2006, representing Delhi against Services. He not getting a chance to bat in that match, but he made a notable impact in subsequent matches. Over the course of his career, Kohli played in more than 273 List A matches. He achieved his first half-century in national cricket at Ferozeshah Kotla, scoring an impressive 70 runs against Haryana.
In a display of incredible dedication, despite the tragic loss of his father the previous day, Kohli decided to play for Delhi against Karnataka in December, showcasing his commitment to cricket.
In addition to his List A performances, Kohli made his debut for the India Under-19 squad during their tour of England in the same year. He also ventured into T20 cricket in April 2007, participating in the Inter-State T20 Championship. Kohli’s impressive performances during the tour to Pakistan resulted in an average of 58 in Test matches and 41.66 in ODIs.
